BLOG GOALS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: PART 40

Evening folks. How are you all doing? πŸ‘‹πŸ˜ Welcome back to my weekly Blog Goals for the Week Ahead where I set out my blog schedule and creative goals for the coming week. Hope it helps inspire; encourage and motivate?! πŸ™πŸ€ž

First up, on Tuesday will be my response to Sadje’s regular #WhatDoYouSee #WDYS Poetry Image Prompt which this week provides with a photo showing “a red motor boat anchored near a quay. There is a small buoy floating near it. In the distance you can see a small island.” If you want to participate in it then you can access it through the following link: https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/2022/06/13/what-do-you-see-138/

On Wednesday I will be posting my 2nd motivational running quote of the week and featuring my cheesy friend and fellow blogger/poet: Mouse over at The Twisted Tail. There we will be profiling his unique mix of poetry styles; morbid/ (dare I say it) twisted sense of humour; interesting tid bits of facts and quotes etc etc.

On Thursday we return to our weekly trip down movie memory lane with some more re-views of my old cinema reviews. This week we will be looking back at my critiques of baby comedy: KNOCKED UP & spy movie: BREACH.

On Friday, we’ll have the 2nd of our poetic offering of the week: THE SLOW BURNING ERUPTION, an edited & adapted version of a poem I wrote 8 years ago this week. As well as this we’ll feature our 3rd motivational running quote of the week for ye! πŸ˜πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

On Saturday we’ll return to our weekly reflection on some poetry quotes in our Favourite Poetry Quotes blog. It’s where we take some quotes; break them down; analyse them and apply the lessons learned to our lives as poets and readers alike. First up is a fantastic quote by John Betjeman

“Too many people in the modern world view poetry as a luxury, not a necessity like petrol. But to me it’s the oil of life.”

2nd and last quote is this one from Derek Walcott

I have never separated the writing of poetry from prayer. I have grown up believing it is a vocation, a religious vocation.

Lastly, on Sunday, we’ll round up all my blog posts from the previous week with my weekly Sunday Blog Recap for those of you with busy lives outside of the WordPress universe! πŸ˜πŸ˜›πŸ‘

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post and for all ye’re continued support and encouragement! πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ˜Š
