Afternoon folks! How are ye all doing today? π This week we were encouraged by Linda Lee Lyberg over at d’Verse to wrote a Quadrille on the subject of morning using no more or less than 44 words (excluding the title). Below is my contribution! ππ
MOURNING OR MORNING!
Morning,
Two pronged fork
Highly anticipated
Deeply dreaded
Full of painful realities
And exciting possibilities
Coming at the end of
A long dreamless slumber
Or a fitful night’s sleep
Dressed in grey; gloomy skies
Or a bright; blinding sun
Beginning of a new day

Fitting title, and “two pronged fork” is a good way of putting it. Happy the night has ended but possible trepidation on what the day may bring.

A great morning poem Ken! Morning does offer both possibilities and this summer the dark mornings gave some relief to the scorching 90 + F temps in our neck of the woods!

99 + F?! Wow!! I’d take a few dark; cold mornings just to get some relief from that. Thanks very much, am delighted you enjoyed it! πππ

It is now in the 80s and feeling wonderful! Cool weather will be an even greater relief!

Absolutely! ππ A few weeks back, for 2 weeks in a row, we had temps here in Ireland over 30 degrees Celsius. Not sure what that translates to in Fahrenheit.
