For the visually challenged reader, the image shows a young woman holding a child wrapped in a white blanket, close to her bosom. Below is my contribution! ππ
SOURCE OF COMFORT
Wrapped snuggly
Like a mummy
Nestled in
T’ween shoulder & chin
She seeks to pacify
The piercing wailing and din
No words need be said
Just cradle him close
A universal source of comfort
From time immemorial
In regular doses
Hush now my little one,
There’s no need to cry
This is your mum
Are you hungry or tired?
In your little empire
Or are you just seeking
A little affection?
You’ve completely
Changed my direction
Feel my heart beat
As you did in the womb
That’ll soothe you
And guide you back to me
Soon you’ll be consumed
With sweet dreams
Amniotic memories
In a deep sleep

A beautiful description of the challenges of motherhood
when infants can create a doubt in our abilities due to inexperience.
The last two line bring it all together … brilliant.
