SNOWCAPPED BEAUTY – Tanka Tuesday Weekly Poetry Challenge No 302

This week over at Tanka Tuesday Colleen has provided us with the image above as a source of poetic inspiration. Below lies my contribution: πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ˜πŸ˜

SNOWCAPPED BEAUTY

Snowcapped mountain peaks
On a brisk January morning
Struggling; stretching to climb
Above the row of high pine trees
Which tower over the blue house
(With 4 windows to let the light in)
And large aluminium shed too
With their slanted; snow covered roofs.
The little garden shed
Almost dwarfed in comparison
Mounds/balls of the wintry white powder
Bunched together atop a beautiful; thick carpet of sn
.

  1. You do a fantastic job with description in poetry. I could picture everything and feel the cold bitterness of winter, and I would have done so without the photo to accompany it. Well done! πŸ‘

    1. Thanks very much Kristian, that’s the best compliment you could pay to a poet/writer. πŸ™πŸ˜πŸ˜Š I love painting pictures with words & equally drawing words out of pictures! 😁❀️
