THE FORLORN LOOKING POOCH: Sadje’s #WhatDoYouSee #WDYS Poetry Image Prompt

For the week’s #WDYS #WHATDOYOUSEE Poetry Image Prompt, Sadje has provided us with the image above which shows a Frenchie dog sitting and posing while wearing a fanny pack. Below lies my contribution to the prompt: 👇👇😁😁

THE FORLORN LOOKING POOCH

This pooch woke up early in the morn
His sagging jowls made him look so forlorn
His day seemed like a drag
So he packed up his bag
And left. Now his owner does mourn

Should you wish to participate in the prompt then you can access it through the following link: 👇👇😁😁

  1. Sometimes I wonder about my own furry friends. Our dog wriggles out of her collar and takes off around the neighborhood every chance she gets. We also have three cats, one of whom darts out the door when he can.🤣 I promise I’m feeding them.

    1. Haha! I’ve no doubt you are Melissa! 😛👍😂 Yeh, you’d wonder what’s going on inside of their heads sometimes?! We don’t have pets though used to have a few dogs and cats growing up. Now, my 2 daughters keep bugging us to get a cat & a dog! 😛😁

  2. I’m not a fan of the French bulldog – or any of the brachycephalic breeds – I can’t abide a snorty dog. Anyway a cute limerick! I’d surprise your daughters with a cat – low maintenance and self sufficient… I’m guessing they are old enough to scoop the box and fill the water bowl!

    1. Not a fan of them myself Valerie, truth be told! Prefer a West Highland Terrier like we had when I was kid. But yeh, we’re definitely leaning towards getting a cat. Easy maintenance and keeps away the mice! 👍😁😛 Oh yeh, they’re old enough. They’ll be 5 & 6 years old tomorrow & Saturday respectively.
