LUCKY No. 13 ANNIVERSARY

Yes, you’ve read it right! 13 years ago, I signed up with WordPress. Hard to believe that amount of time has gone by! Though, to be honest, I didn’t really have a clue how to use it properly or tap into it’s blogging potential. In fact, I think it took me the 1st 10 years to figure out how to use it. πŸ˜›πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

And the next 3 years to see WordPress’s potential and begin to properly utilise it. In that time I’ve made some genuine new friends; read many wonderful poems & seen my own poetry/writing evolve from it’s traditional rhyming scheme into a more diverse; mature & insightful style.

Here’s to 13 more years of blogging; new poetry and enriching friendships. Sincere thanks to you all who’ve supported; followed & read my blog/poetry along the way. The blog wouldn’t be what it is without ye’re support & feedback! πŸ™πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜

BLOG GOALS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD

Hey folks! Hope ye all had a lovely weekend! πŸ€žπŸ™ Welcome back to my weekly Blog Goals for the Week Ahead where I set out my blog schedule and creative goals for the coming week. Hope it helps inspire & motivate ye as much as it does me! πŸ€žπŸ™πŸ˜

I’ve already posted my 1st motivational running quote of the week for ye earlier and there’ll be 3 more where they came from on Wednesday; Friday & Saturday mornings. So please tune in for them! πŸ™πŸ˜

Tomorrow, with it being Valentine’s Day and all that, will be all about the love. Will be doing a special reblog of my popular “Love Is…” poem featuring my own reflections on love. Hope ye will enjoy reading that again or perhaps for the 1st time!

It’s also, strangely enough, the 4th anniversary of my mum’s passing. So I’ll also be reposting a poem called “Freeze Time” reflecting on my then wish to stop time and prevent her death from ever happening. And showing some poetic love to ye guys and gals for all the support

On Wednesday, I hope to respond to Sadje’s latest #WhatDoYouSee #WDYS Poetry Image Prompt and d’Verse’s latest Poetics Prompt respectively. Should you wish to participate in Sadje’s prompt then you can access it through the following link: https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/2023/02/13/what-do-you-see-173-13th-february-2023/

From Thursday onwards, I’ve nothing planned as kids will be off school so difficult to plan stuff. However, I’ll still be responding to various poetry prompts from Moonwashed Weekly Prompt to Ragtag Daily Prompts to Reena’s Xploration Challenge & WeaveWrittenWeekly etc whenever the opportunity & inspiration arises.

On Sunday, I’ll be rounding it all up with my regular Sunday Blog Recap with links to all the blogs I posted during the previous week. I trust you’ll all join me for that & keep following for regular updates. Thanks again for your support; encouragement and feedback.

THROWBACK THURSDAY : BLOG UPDATE

Evening folks! How are things with ye? Seeming as it’s Thursday and my Throwback Thursday series of Film Reviews is no more I’ve been thinking of what to publish in it’s place?! And I’ve a couple of ideas which I want to throw your way. And ye can give me some feedback on what ye think?! πŸ€žπŸ™πŸ˜

First up, and I’ve brought this idea up before, is to record me reciting a poem, an old poem of mine, and post it up on WordPress. Secondly I could post a poem up as per usual, but with a difference. These poems will be from my 1st book written 11 years ago. Both of them will have a Throwback Thursday feel to it but with the primary focus being on poetry.

Let me know what you all think and I’ll make my decision before next Monday in time for my Blog Goals for the Week Ahead. Looking forward to hearing back from you all! πŸ˜πŸ‘
