LACONIC BURBLES WRITTEN IN ISOLOPHILIA d’Verse Poetics Prompt: There’s A Word For That

For this week’s d’Verse Poetics Prompt Misha over at d’Verse Pub has given us an intriguing and, dare I say it, diverse selection of not so commonly used words used to describe a feeling; emotion or state of being. We can pick 3 or more of these words and base our poem around them. I chose “ikigai”; “laconic”; “burble” & “isolophilia”. Below the word pictures lies my contribution: IKIGAI – LACONIC BURBLES WRITTEN IN ISOLOPHILIA

LACONIC BURBLES WRITTEN IN ISOLOPHILIA

Now, I’m not one to burble folks
Or talk too much in general
Preferring instead
To let my writing do the talking
Which is more laconic in nature
(Expressing more with less)
Composed & enjoyed in isolophilia
A quiet & sweet seclusion
It is my ikigai and purpose
Without it I feel worthless

  1. Nice one. At times it really is easier to convey our thoughts through poetry…. concisely and unrestrained. Thanks for joining in with the prompt and sharing our link. 🙂
